SuperSmart free training & workshops @ EuroShop and ISH

The two world-leading events for the food retail industry (EuroShop); and the building, energy, renewable energy and air-conditioning sectors (ISH), are approaching quickly. Reason enough for the SuperSmart team to be on site and offer free-of-charge opportunities for you to get trained, learn about our project and its targets, and add your voice to make Europe's supermarkets smarter.

SuperSmart Training on energy-efficient food retail stores @Euroshop - 6 March, Düsseldorf

SuperSmart has published 7 free reports about how to make Europe’s food retail stores more efficient. The reports provide concrete recommendations on how to map and reduce non-technological barriers, how to build new stores and refurbish existing ones, and how to select the right tools and methods to maintain high levels of energy-efficient operation. Based on our varied expertise, the team has developed a series of training modules, out of which two different ones will be available at EuroShop:

  • 2-3 pm, or 4-5 pm: Energy efficient food retail stores, incl. CO2 systems with ejectors and integration of A/C systems
  • 3-4 pm: Computational tools for supermarket planning + Monitoring systems

Who should attend: food retail end-users and operators (management & technical), engineering companies, contractors, energy & environmental consultants, HVAC&R system suppliers

SuperSmart Workshop on EU Ecolabel criteria for food retail stores @ISH - 15 March, Frankfurt

As a major aim, SuperSmart aims to develop the criteria for a future EU Ecolabel for more sustainable and efficient food retail stores. The 2nd Labelling Board Assembly workshop will hence focus on developing the next round of criteria in the area of the building's energy use and environmental factors (buildings, energy management systems, lighting, use of renewable energies etc.). Participants are especially encouraged to provide input to the development of these criteria during the workshop and by expressing their interest in becoming a partner in one of the 3 Expert Panels.

Who should attend: for food retail end-users and operators (technical departments / facility management), building owners, construction and engineering companies, contractors, architects, planners, energy & environmental consultants, HVAC&R system suppliers

More about SuperSmart

The SuperSmart project aims to speed up the uptake of more energy-efficient refrigeration, heating and cooling solutions for Europe’s food retail sector by reducing its energy use, lowering its environmental footprint, and increasing its economic benefits. It also supports the development of an EU Ecolabel on Food Retail Stores, by defining the criteria for such a label. The project is funded by the European Union, under the H2020 framework programme.
